Context
Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT), a leading aged care provider, engaged Logicore to develop a 3-year ICT Strategy and Roadmap aligned with its 2024–2027 Strategic Plan. To ensure agility, pragmatism, and business alignment, the Minimum Viable Enterprise Architecture (MVEA) methodology was applied.
MVEA focused on “just enough” architecture to inform decisions and enable action, avoiding unnecessary complexity.

Key Components
- Minimal Viable Business Capability Model (Level 2) mapped 100+ applications to reveal platform gaps and misalignments.
- Lightweight Reference Architectures defined target states for core Platforms: Digital, Care, Workforce, Finance, and Security.
- Executable 3-Year Roadmap linked projects to business pillars and budget cycles using a clear, colour-coded format.
- Recommended IT and delivery operating model for transformational change
- Governance & IT Ops Model assessment defined an uplift that included a Technology Delivery Innovation Team and Change Management capability.
Outcomes
- Focus on Digital Platform and CRM as foundational enablers
- Prioritise projects including tactical and strategic
- Clear investment roadmap tied to strategic goals
- Embedded governance & capacity planning into FY26 initiatives
- Full executive endorsement and immediate buy-in
Logicore’s MVEA enabled SCC to move from strategy to execution with clarity, speed, and confidence—delivering a practical digital foundation for care, compliance, workforce and community outcomes.
